Investigating Search / In Perspective
Follow the research behind search.
In Perspective is an interactive way into 215 selected works on search engines. You can trace themes, citations, shared authorship and time, or search the same collection as a bibliography.
What is here
A selected collection, open to exploration.
The viewer brings together 215 works across 24 themes in the critical and social study of search engines. The visual routes show connections between sources; the bibliography lets you search and filter their details directly.
I curate the collection from my research and teaching, alongside carefully checked scholarship by others. It is an editorial selection, not a catalogue of the whole field. I welcome corrections and suggestions.
In Perspective is one part of Investigating Search. The related Interface and topic notes are still in development.
